Chief Manufacturing and Engineering Officer

Brad Galles began his career at Wells in 1995 in operations and has progressively grown his role and leadership within the company for over 30 years.  During his tenure, Brad has served in several senior-level roles that have shaped Wells’ ice cream manufacturing and engineering expertise and capabilities.  Brad became Director of Plant Engineering and Plant Manager of the North Ice Cream plant in 2010, followed shortly after by a move to Plant Manager of Wells’ South Ice Cream Plant until 2021, when he was promoted to Vice President of Engineering.  After a year, Brad was promoted to Vice President of Manufacturing and Engineering.

In 2025, Brad was promoted to Chief Manufacturing and Engineering Officer for Wells.  In this role, Brad is responsible for overseeing many of the organization’s operational functions, including engineering, manufacturing, technical innovation, health & safety, value stream optimization, continuous improvement, operations training, reliability, and sustainability departments, while driving strategic initiatives to enhance overall operational efficiency and innovation.

Brad’s strategic vision and commitment to fostering collaboration across the organization have been critical to driving Wells’ leadership in the industry and supporting the achievement of our long-term strategic plan.

Brad’s favorite Wells product is Blue Bunny Vanilla Bean ice cream.
