Sr. Director, Research & Development

Jon Oldroyd is the Senior Director of Research and Development at Wells Enterprises Inc. and has over 35 years of ice cream experience in multiple countries.  During his career he has been fortunate to be able to manage complex projects and multi-functional teams at both local and global levels.

Originally from the UK, Jon has been at Wells for over 15 years.  He has the responsibility of leading and directing the Research and Development team, leading innovation and renovation initiatives, and promoting a culture of innovation throughout the organization.  Prior to Wells, Jon worked for the Unilever ice cream division for 20 years, where he was able to gain significant knowledge and experience across both Europe and North America – not to mention becoming an expert on imperial to metric system conversions.

Jon’s other passions involve music, where he is both a frustrated keyboardist with far too many synthesizers, and an as-yet undiscovered record producer.  He is also a lifelong loyalist to Leeds United and is an adopted Green Bay Packers fan.   He firmly believes “if it’s not fun, then why do it?”

Jon’s favorite Wells product is the Butterfinger Ice Cream Candy Bar.
