Wells Enterprises Invests $2 Million in Support of Le Mars Parks and Recreation Projects

Le Mars, IA, October 31, 2025 – Wells Enterprises continues to demonstrate its commitment to the Le Mars community with a donation of $2 million to the Le Mars Area Betterment Foundation (LABF) to support enhancements to the Le Mars community parks and recreation facilities. A check was presented to Dustin Wright, President of Le Mars Area Betterment Foundation Board of Directors and CEO, Floyd Valley Healthcare at a news conference at O’Toole Park in Le Mars.

“Wells is proud to call Le Mars home and values the ongoing support from this community. We are committed to giving back and are pleased to support this initiative with our donation. Our investment will enhance quality-of-life and recreational opportunities for Le Mars residents, our team members, and visitors,” shared Adam Baumgartner, Vice President, Corporate Communications & Institutional Affairs. “Wells will continue building on the strong foundation that has made this company so special and that includes investing in our local community. We’re proud to support the future of Le Mars through exciting and rewarding projects like this.”

The LABF and City of Le Mars are actively raising $11M to support enhancing quality-of-life amenities in the community. Parks provide access to recreational opportunities, increase property values, spur local economies, combat crime and protect cities from environmental impact. The goal is for Le Mars to become the destination community to live, work, play and visit in the tri-state area.

“Wells Enterprises' gift to the Le Mars Betterment Foundation's campaign to grow and improve our community parks is a continuation of the history of Wells investing in our shared hometown,” explained Dustin Wright. “This gift is second to none and is an essential investment in the future of our community. We are grateful for the continued support of Wells and all of their associates in Plymouth County and the Siouxland region.”

“Wells generosity not only enables us to make significant progress in our projects but also inspires others to join in the effort to create a better Le Mars for everyone. We are truly fortunate to have such a steadfast partner in our mission to enhance the quality of life for all our residents,” shared Rob Bixenman, Mayor, City of Le Mars.
