What is happening?
Wells Enterprises acquired Dunkirk, New York-based Fieldbrook Foods, effective April 15, 2019.

Why did Wells choose Fieldbrook Foods?
Fieldbrook aligns well with Wells’ business goals and growth plan. This purchase expands Wells current manufacturing capacity to help meet future demand and adds an important footprint on the East Coast. Fieldbrook has 29 operational fully-staffed production lines that can quickly help to meet Wells capacity demands. Fieldbrook is focused on private label and novelty production, both of which support rapid industry growth.

When will the Fieldbrook facilities be operational under Wells?
Fieldbrook will continue with production as is. Wells intends to integrate operations over a period of 12-18 months, but it’s business as usual for as the companies work on building the new Wells organization together.

Is Wells closing any manufacturing facilities?
Analysis of our operations, including all of our facilities, is an important and ongoing part of business planning. Wells focus continues to be on employee safety, food quality and safety, operational efficiency, innovation and sustainability. We are focused on growing our business and expanding our footprint across the United States.
